Tip of The Week: Photoshop Memory

Iedereen die photoshop gebruikt zal wel al eens last gehad hebben van een computer die heel traag werkt. Of het nu bij een pc is of een iMac, het komt bij beide vaak voor. Ikzelf heb het een hele tijd geleden ontdekt bij mijn iMac. Ik had mijn photoshop openstaan en terwijl was ik bezig aan het surfen op het internet of muziek aan het beluisteren. Hierdoor liep photoshop vaak vast of ging alles enorm traag. Je kan enkele handelingen doen die dit kan voorkomen. Eerst en vooral kan je in photoshop zelf aanpassen hoeveel geheugen het programma mag gebruiken, je moet dit zelf bepalen, maar het best is 80%. Dan werkt alles nog naar behoren. Indien photoshop toch nog traag is als je andere applicaties gebruikt, kan je dit nog wat verminderen.
Je kan ook altijd meer geheugen kopen, maar dit is vrij duur. Dat is ook de reden dat je op voorhand moet weten wat je allemaal met je computer zal doen.

Tip of The Week: Shortcut for Photoshop

Vandaag begin ik met een nieuwe categorie op de site, Tip of The Week. Bij deze artikels zal ik een (kleine) tip meegeven i.v.m. fotografie of photoshop. Deze categorie zal in twee talen beschikbaar zijn (Nederlands en Engels).

Vandaag wil ik simpele shortcut met jullie delen, die jullie kunnen gebruiken in Photoshop of een ander programma. De meeste kennen die al, anderen niet. Ikzelf vind het een enorme handige shortcut. Soms moet je heel precies werken en met een muis kan dat al eens fout lopen. Ofwel ben je er net niet ofwel ben je al weer veel te ver.
Als je foto’s of andere bestanden heel precies moet plaatsen kan je gebruikmaken van de shortcut: cmd + pijltjes. Zo kan je heel precies iets bewegen. Voor PC gebruikers zal dat de Ctrl of Alt toets zijn in plaats van de cmd toets.

Today I want to share with you a simple shortcut, that you can use in Photoshop or another program. Most of you already know, others do not. I find it a handy shortcut. Sometimes you have to work very precisely and with a mouse that can go wrong. If you have photos or other files that you need to place precisely, you can use the shortcut: cmd + arrows. Now you can move something with great precision. For PC users, it will be the Ctrl or Alt key, instead of the cmd key.
